Come and join us at Bristol Voices… we’ll put rhythm in your step and joy in your heart!

Who we are

We’re a well-established community a cappella choir, run by our members – and anyone is welcome to join. No experience is necessary, there are no auditions and you don’t need to read music. All you need is a love of singing and a desire to learn new songs.

Our musical Director, Jon Conway, leads us with huge skill and energy. We have great fun each week learning some gorgeous blended harmonies, singing a range of songs from across the world’s cultures and musical genres.  Our Repertoire page should give you a really good idea of the wide range of music we sing.

How to join

If you’re interested in joining the choir we’d love to see you.

We have a new musical director joining, Jeremy Avis, commencing on Wednesday 26th September.  For the first three weeks of the September term (5th, 12th and 19th) we will be lead by two excellent choir directors, Sarah Collins and Fran Bolton.  During this three week transitional period we are offering three free taster sessions.

You can of course come for a free taster session any Wednesday during the school term – you’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome.

For more details, or to let us know you’re coming, get in touch via the Contact us page. Otherwise just turn up on the night – on arrival, ask to speak to one of our committee members and they’ll make you feel at home.  Choir sessions are 7.30 – 9.30pm at St Werburgh’s Primary School, James Street, Bristol BS2 9US.

Please check our When & Where page for dates as we only practice during school term time.

What better way to spend a Wednesday evening and put a smile on your face!

Watch us performing

We aim to arrange at least one performance a term, most of which we combine with raising money for different charities.  We always have a great time performing – here’s a mini film from one of our concerts, which includes some of our favourite songs.
