See you soon and a slight change to A Rose is a Rose

Morning dear BV singers,

We are all so looking forward to seeing you at All Saints this afternoon at 2.30 for our rehearsal and concert.

It is a magnificent place to sing and we will sound great. Do please still invite friends nd family.

One practical point.

A Rose is  a Rose ( one of the two pieces we will sing togetehr with HG) has needed a slightly tweaked structure: this basically adds up to NOT repeating the first time through with and S and B calling together and  A and T responding.

Instead on the second repeat of that material the Sops go straight to their tune and T and B join together to “Call” and Altos only “Respond.”

We will also explain this to you at our reheasal and we wil run the piece through a few times so don’t worry!

I am attaching here the updated word sheet which is now correct for this performance and performances of this piece henceforth.

A Rose is a Rose ’22

Please print out and bring with you for this moment today when we sing it togeterh with the Hidden Gems Choir at the end of the concert.

It is also updated in the BV music file here: entitled “A Rose is a Rose ‘22”

Please do also remember to come along in your choir colours if you can: black with a splash of turquoise!

See you there!! All Saints Church Pembroke Rd, Clifton, Bristol BS8 3ED.

2.15 for a 2.30 sharp start.

Many thanks.
