Christmas Term – 13th December – Final night

Dear Voices,

It’s finally arrived, our end-of-term celebration and our final sing for 2023. This is also my final session with you all (sad face).

Just to remind you that we are celebrating the end of term with our friends and family so don’t forget to bring them along with you on Wednesday!

Also don’t forget to bring some finger food, drink, plates, cutlery, glasses etc.

The setlist of songs that we will be singing to our guests can be found on the Term Schedule page. Scroll to the bottom. If you volunteered to introduce a song then you will see your name in the intro column. I look forward to hearing them!

Jeremy will be leading the Communal Carol songs after our food and drink break. We will kick off that section with Joy to the world and Ding Dong, probably saving Silent Night for later on – but that will be up to Jeremy who is running that section.

It’s been wonderful singing with you all again and I hope you have enjoyed the experience as much as I have.

See you at 7:30pm sharp (traffic permitting!) on the 13th December.

Christmas Term – 6th December

Dear Voices,

Well done for singing through the setlist so well last session. We have 3 songs that need a little more work before they are performance-ready.

Saving All My Love
Life on Mars

Please find time to listen to the teach tracks between now and next session. Wouldn’t it be great if we could just sing them perfectly on our next run through!

Teach tracks can be found on DropBox in the top 2 folders,

! This Term !
!! Term 5 !!

Click the links above for direct access.

Thank you to the volunteers for introducing a song. I am still looking for a few more. Please email me at if you would like to do this and bring along your ‘intro’ so we can run through it at the next session.

I have put the setlist onto the Term Schedule page.

Have a great week and see you on the 6th December

Christmas Term – 29th November

Dear Voices,

Our end-of-term ‘Friends and Family’ celebration is fast approaching. More details about this will be published in a later post.

The plan is to sing about 30 minutes of songs we learned this term to our guests, which equates to around 8 or 9 songs. We have sung through 12 songs this term so not all of them will make it onto the setlist. I’m sorry if your favourite isn’t there.

We have very little time to get them all performance ready so we will start rehearsing the setlist at our next session. If a song needs too much work then it won’t be included. I suggest you start brushing up on the songs especially if there’s one you definitely want to sing on our final night.

One other thing I would like is for volunteers to introduce some of the songs, like we have done in the past. It only needs to be a few interesting facts about the song which you can get from google or just make up! You did a fantastic job of this in past gigs we did together.

This is the proposed setlist.

Ole Le Loila
O So Seo
Let the circle be wide
Besame Mucho
Saving All My Love
Life on Mars

We will also sing some carols that our guests can join in with.

Joy To The World
Ding Dong
Silent Night
HYAMLC (needs lots of work!)

Maybe end the evening on a “Good where we’ve been”

Lots to get through….. so much for having an easy term!

See you on the 29th November
